"It's cold outside, but not inside."

December 13 is … Ice Cream and Violins Day

How do you eat ice cream and play the violin at the same time? Sounds a little messy but it could be a cultural event.

I neglected to mention that yesterday, Frank Sinatra would have been 96 years old; now that is Ol’ Blue Eyes.

I do not think even Newt will take his money and run. Conservative radio host Michael Savage has offered Newt Gingrich $1 million to drop out of the Republican primary race. Savage posted the announcement on his website, and will go over the specific terms during his radio show on Monday.

He wrote that the Republican primary race has come down to two candidates: Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich. He said that Romney was the only candidate capable of beating President Barack Obama in the general election. Therefore, he has offered Gingrich $1 million to "drop out of the presidential race for the sake of the nation."

Savage, who hosts the third-highest rated radio program in the country, outlined the reasons why he believed Gingrich was incapable of beating Obama. In addition to his marital infidelity, checkered past as Speaker of the House, and involvement with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Savage wrote that Gingrich "will come off badly compared to Obama" during presidential debates. Savage wrote that he will "look like nothing more than what he is: a fat, old, white man."
In order to claim his prize, Gingrich must drop out of the race within 72-hours. Savage urged Gingrich to "take the money."

Savage is far from the only right-wing pundit or host with harsh words for Gingrich.

This is more Newt’s style. A Chicago strip club is offering free lap dances to customers who donate toys as part of their now-annual "Lap Dances for the Needy" event.

The Admiral Theater, 3940 W. Lawrence Ave., kicks off its toy drive Monday and will offer the free lap dance deal until Saturday, Dec. 17. Donated gifts must be new, and while bringing more than one would help local children, participants will only receive one lap dance per customer, per visit -- regardless of how many toys they bring in.

Chicagoist reports that the campaign brought in "five car loads" of new toys last year, which were donated to area churches.

Last year, the event was held during the Admiral's "12 Days Of XXX-Mas," A.V. Club Chicago reported. That celebration included "girls dressed up like erotically charged elves" and "a stripperfied rendition of The Nutcracker."

This year, participants can catch Nude Pillow Fighting during the toy drive, where strippers will compete for the "Snow Bunny Queen" title. The pillow fighting starts Monday night. I think this is keeping with the spirit of the season. Tiny Tim just might get bigger if he participated.

Just a couple of thoughts I had and you should too or at least think about.
