Games are for nuts. ‘Tis the season for nuts. Everybody likes nuts in the shell around Christmas or any type of nuts; chocolate covered, toffee covered, cinnamon sprinkled, roasted chestnuts, brazil nuts, pecans, walnuts and the always crowd pleasing macadamia nuts.

It has often been said that when ifs and buts become candy and nuts, everyday would be Christmas. If your aunt had nuts she would be your uncle. Some days you feel like a nut, some days you don’t. It is a great time to live in California, the land of fruits and nuts.

The nut that ran North Korea, who luckily died the other day, claims the first time he played golf, he shot a 34 for 18 holes with 5 holes-in-one. Tiger who? He claims he invented the hamburger and once while recovering from a back injury, he was taking a drug by injection that he was told was addictive, so he ordered his staff to get the same injection he was getting so if he became addicted he would not be alone and if he did not become addicted he would report the others were, setting himself up as super human.

He claimed he wrote six operas during his lifetime; he was an avid movie fan who owned all of the James Bond films on video. He was an Eric Clapton fan who once asked Clapton to play in North Korea for him, Eric Clapton declined the request. Some days you feel like a nut, some days you are a nut.

At least it should not be a big campaign issue, although the Court’s decision should come out in late summer, when the campaign is in full gear. March madness is coming to the Supreme Court next year. The justices have designated three days, March 26 to March 28, as the oral argument dates for the health care cases.
The Court agreed to hear the challenges to the Affordable Care Act in November, setting aside an extraordinary five and a half hours for oral argument.

The main event will be on Tuesday, March 27, when the Court will take up the constitutionality of the health care law's minimum coverage requirement. That provision, commonly called the individual mandate, requires virtually all Americans to purchase health insurance or pay a penalty. The Court has set aside two hours for argument over whether Congress' passage of the individual mandate exceeded the legislature's powers to regulate interstate commerce or lay and collect taxes under Article I of the Constitution.

On Monday, March 26, the Court will hear an hour of argument over whether a Reconstruction-era federal statute, the Anti-Injunction Act, bars the justices from making a decision on the individual mandate's constitutionality until after the provision goes into effect in 2014.

The Court will consider two additional issues on Wednesday, March 28. Ninety minutes will be dedicated to whether the individual mandate is so central to the health care overhaul that the entire law must fall should the justices find the mandate itself unconstitutional. An additional hour of argument will address 26 states' claim that the law improperly expands Medicaid by coercively conditioning states' receipt of federal funds on their participation in the new health care exchange system. These three days of oral argument will occur almost exactly two years after President Barack Obama signed the Affordable Care Act, sparking a slew of lawsuits across the country.

Just a couple of thoughts I had and you should too or at least think about.
